Ingredients

Scale

Meatballs

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 cup (100 g) breadcrumbs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Garlic Parmesan Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (for sauce)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meat mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Shape the meatballs: Form the meat mixture into meatballs about the size of a golf ball. Place them evenly spaced on a baking sheet to ensure even cooking.
  3. Bake the meatballs: Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the meatballs. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Prepare the garlic Parmesan sauce: While the meatballs bake, melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic for the sauce and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Toss meatballs with sauce: Once the meatballs are done baking, drizzle the garlic Parmesan sauce over them and gently toss or stir to coat all the meatballs with the flavorful sauce. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a lower-fat version, use lean ground beef or ground turkey.
  • These meatballs can also be cooked in a skillet over medium heat if you prefer not to use the oven.
  • Serve with pasta, rice, or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
  • You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, warm gently in a skillet or microwave until heated through.
