Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Sauce

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Coleslaw Mixture

  • 2 cups coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing

Wrap Components

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare BBQ Chicken: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken with the BBQ sauce. Mix thoroughly until the chicken is fully coated and evenly flavored.
  2. Make the Coleslaw: In a separate bowl, toss the coleslaw mix with ranch dressing until all the cabbage and carrots are well coated and creamy.
  3. Assemble the Wraps: Lay one flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon about 1/2 cup of the BBQ chicken mixture onto the center of the tortilla. Then add a generous layer of the ranch coleslaw on top of the chicken. Follow with diced tomatoes and chopped green onions. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the fillings.
  4. Roll the Wraps: Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll the tortilla tightly from the bottom up, enclosing all the fillings securely. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and fillings.
  5. Chill for Flavor: For optimal taste and texture, wrap the assembled wraps in aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. This resting time allows the flavors to meld and the wrap to become easier to slice and handle.

Notes

  • You can substitute the flour tortillas with whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas for dietary preferences.
  • Adding shredded cheddar cheese is optional but adds a nice creamy and cheesy element to the wraps.
  • Feel free to add a dash of hot sauce or jalapeños for a spicy kick.
  • These wraps can be made a few hours ahead and stored refrigerated for convenience during meal prep.
  • If preferred, use grilled chicken instead of cooked shredded chicken for extra smoky flavor.
