Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Roll Dough

  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (fresh or dried)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Other

  • Olive oil or cooking spray for greasing the baking sheet

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until the filling is smooth and evenly blended.
  3. Prepare Dough: Open the can of crescent roll dough and carefully unroll it on a clean, flat surface, keeping the perforations intact.
  4. Assemble Rolls: Take one dough triangle, place a spoonful of the chicken filling at the wider end, and roll it tightly towards the pointed end, tucking the sides in to enclose the filling.
  5. Arrange on Sheet: Place each rolled crescent on the greased baking sheet with the pointed end facing down to secure the roll. Continue this process until all dough and filling are used.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are puffed up and golden brown.
  7. Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the crescent rolls cool for a few minutes before serving warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • You can substitute cooked rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper to the filling.
  • Serve with ranch dressing or marinara sauce for dipping.
  • These rolls can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for best texture.
