  • 2 lbs potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Garnish:

  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the smoked sausage slices until fully cooked. Set aside.
  3. Sauté Onion And Garlic: In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until translucent.
  4. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the potatoes, cooked sausage, sautéed onion and garlic, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing mix, milk, and melted butter. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer To Baking Dish: Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
