  • 2-3 tbsp cooking oil (neutral flavor, add more if needed)
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce (or regular all-purpose soy sauce)
  • 2 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (or white sugar)
  • 1 tbsp water
  • ¼ tsp white pepper
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce (additional for marinade)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp brown sugar (or white sugar, for marinade)
  • ¼ tsp white pepper (for marinade)
  • 2 tsp sesame oil (or cooking oil, for marinade)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Cut the chicken into thin slices. In a bowl, combine chicken with 1 tbsp light soy sauce, cornstarch, baking soda, ¼ tsp white pepper, 2 tsp sesame oil, and 1 tsp brown sugar. Mix well and set aside to marinate. Prepare all vegetables before cooking.
  2. Step 2: Boil the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water. Set aside. (Skip if using fresh noodles.)
