Cookies and Cream Oreo Cookies Recipe:

  • 1 cup salted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups plus 2 tbsp all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 10 Oreo cookies, plus 2-3 more for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Start by preheating the oven to 350°F and line baking trays with parchment paper.
  2. Crush Oreo Cookies: Place 10 Oreo cookies in a zip lock bag and crush until no large pieces remain. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add Egg and Vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until well combined.
  7. Add Crushed Oreos: Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  8. Form Cookie Dough Balls: Scoop 3 tbsp of dough into a ball and place on the baking trays, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  9. Top with Oreos: Press extra crushed Oreo pieces on top of each cookie dough ball.
  10. Bake: Bake the cookies for 11 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown.
