French Onion Soup Rice is a comforting and flavorful dish that combines the rich taste of French onion soup with tender long grain rice, all baked to perfection. This easy recipe is a great side dish or main course option for any occasion.

Rice:

  • 1 1/4 cups Long Grain Rice, uncooked

Soup Mixture:

  • 14.5 oz can of Beef Broth
  • 10.5 oz can of French Onion Soup

Additional:

  • 1 stick of Butter, cold
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. In an 8X8 inch pan, spread the uncooked rice evenly.

  3. Pour Beef Broth over the rice.
  4. Next, pour in the French Onion Soup.
  5. Slice the butter into pats and layer it evenly over the rice and soup mixture.
  6. Cover the dish with tin foil and bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
  7. After 25 minutes, uncover, return to the oven, and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can sprinkle some shredded cheese on top before serving.
  • Make sure the rice is fully cooked and tender before serving.
