Ingredients

Scale

Protein

  • 1 pound ground turkey

Vegetables

  • 1 head cauliflower, chopped into small florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Dairy & Fats

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Grated Parmesan (optional, for extra flavor)

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Liquids

  • ¼ cup chicken broth (optional, for extra moisture)

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Cauliflower: Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped cauliflower florets and sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cauliflower is tender and lightly browned. Once cooked, remove the cauliflower from the skillet and set it aside.
  2. Brown the Turkey: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Brown the turkey thoroughly until it is fully cooked and no longer pink, approximately 5–6 minutes.
  3. Add Seasoning: Stir in the minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook the mixture for an additional 2 minutes to allow the spices and garlic to become fragrant and well incorporated.
  4. Combine & Simmer: Return the sautéed cauliflower to the skillet, mixing it with the seasoned turkey. If the mixture appears dry, add the optional chicken broth and let everything simmer together for 3–4 minutes until heated through and coated evenly in the garlic butter sauce.
  5. Serve: Optionally, garnish the skillet with fresh parsley and sprinkle grated Parmesan for added flavor. Serve hot and enjoy a wholesome, flavorful meal.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey with ground chicken or lean ground beef if preferred.
  • For a dairy-free version, replace butter with olive oil and omit the Parmesan cheese.
  • Adjust seasoning quantities according to taste, especially salt and paprika.
  • Chicken broth is optional but helps keep the dish moist and adds depth of flavor.
  • This meal pairs well with a side salad or steamed green vegetables for a complete balanced dinner.
