Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

For the Cajun Alfredo Pasta:

  • 12 ounces twisted pasta (rotini or fusilli recommended)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Extra grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of generously salted water to a boil. Add the twisted pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water before draining. Set pasta aside.
  2. Prepare the steak: Pat dry the cubed steak and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Sear the steak bites: Sear seasoned steak cubes in a skillet until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make the garlic butter: In the same skillet, melt butter, add garlic, and optional red pepper flakes.
  5. Create the Cajun Alfredo sauce: Stir heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into the skillet. Add Parmesan cheese and simmer until smooth.
  6. Combine pasta with sauce: Toss drained pasta with the Cajun Alfredo sauce, adjusting consistency with reserved pasta water.
  7. Add the steak bites: Fold seared steak back into the skillet with pasta and sauce.
  8. Serve and garnish: Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with parsley, and offer grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes in the garlic butter.
  • Ensure not to overcook the steak bites during the final combining step to maintain their tenderness.
