  • 1 package ladyfingers

  • 355ml cold espresso
  • 3 tbsp coffee-flavored liqueur (optional, like Kahlua)

Instructions

  1. Whip the Cream: Beat heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  2. Fold in Mascarpone: Gently fold room-temperature mascarpone into the whipped cream until smooth.
  3. Prepare Coffee Mixture: In a shallow bowl, mix espresso and coffee liqueur (if using).
  4. Dip Ladyfingers: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture (1 second per side) and arrange in a single layer in an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) dish.
  5. Layer: Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the dipped ladyfingers. Add a second layer of dipped ladyfingers. Spread remaining cream on top.
  6. Dust and Chill: Dust the top generously with cocoa powder. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours or overnight.
