Ingredients

Puff Pastry Sheets:

17.3 oz box Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets (2 pack)

Black Forest Ham:

7 oz or larger pkg thinly sliced black forest ham

Cheddar Cheese:

8 slices mild cheddar cheese

Mustard:

Dijon/Yellow/Honey Mustard (about 1 tsp per pocket)

Egg Wash:

1 large egg, whisked

Instructions

  1. Cut and Roll: Cut each pastry sheet into fourths and roll each square slightly thinner. Add ham, cheese, and mustard to half of each square.
  2. Fill and Seal: Brush egg wash on the edges, fold over the top, and seal the edges by pinching or crimping.
  3. Ventilate and Bake: Cut slits on top, brush with egg wash, and bake at 400°F for 15-25 minutes until golden and flaky.
  4. Serve: Serve hot, checking for doneness.
  5. Storage and Reheating: Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month. Reheat in an air fryer for a crispy crust.

Notes

  • Ensure the puff pastry is properly sealed to prevent leaking during baking.
  • Adjust baking time based on the juiciness of the ham.
  • For a vegetarian option, substitute ham with veggies like bell peppers and zucchini.
