Ingredients

Scale

For the Cookie Base

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 30 large (regular, not jumbo) marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ teaspoons green food coloring
  • 3½ cups corn flakes

For Decoration

  • Red cinnamon candies

Instructions

  1. Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter and marshmallows together, stirring constantly to ensure a smooth mixture without burning.
  2. Add Flavor and Color: Stir in the vanilla extract and green food coloring thoroughly until the mixture is evenly colored.
  3. Mix with Corn Flakes: Gently fold the corn flakes into the marshmallow mixture, making sure all flakes are coated without breaking them.
  4. Form Cookies: Grease a spoon and drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a greased cookie sheet or vegetable oil sprayed wax paper to prevent sticking.
  5. Decorate: Place three red cinnamon candies on each cluster to mimic holly berries, pressing them slightly so they adhere well.
  6. Set and Cool: Allow the cookies to sit at room temperature until they have completely cooled and set before serving.

Notes
