Chicken:

  • 500g / 1 lb chicken breast, boneless and skinless (2 pieces)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup flour

Sauce:

  • 3 1/2 tbsp (50g) unsalted butter or 2 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar or white or other clear vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce, light or all purpose
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken: Cut the chicken breasts in half horizontally to create 4 steaks. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Coat chicken: Coat chicken in flour, shaking off excess.
  3. Cook chicken: Melt butter in a skillet over high heat. Cook chicken until golden on both sides.
  4. Prepare sauce: Add garlic, vinegar, soy sauce, and honey to the skillet. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Finish dish: Coat chicken in sauce and serve.
