A delightful recipe for Morton’s Steakhouse Chicken Christopher, featuring tender chicken breasts in a creamy white wine sauce with mushrooms and herbs.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Sauce:

  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Season Chicken: Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook Chicken: In a large frying pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook chicken breasts on each side for 6-8 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté Mushrooms: In the same pan, melt butter. Add mushrooms and garlic, cook until mushrooms are soft, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add Wine and Broth: Pour in white wine and chicken broth, scraping up brown bits. Stir in thyme and rosemary.
  5. Simmer Chicken: Return chicken to the pan, simmer in the sauce for 10-12 minutes until fully cooked.
  6. Add Cream: Stir in heavy cream, cook for another 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Serve: Pour sauce over chicken and serve with preferred sides like broccoli, fried carrots, and garlic bread.

Notes

  • You can omit mushrooms if desired.
  • Ensure there’s enough space in the pan for proper cooking.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning of the sauce as needed.
  • Allow chicken to rest in sauce for enhanced flavor.
