Cake Batter:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 eggs (separated)
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
