Marinade:

  • 1 pound beef steak (such as sirloin, flank, or ribeye), thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

Stir-Fry:

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Add beef, toss to coat, and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Sear the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet, sear beef slices until browned, then set aside.
  3. Cook the Vegetables: In the same skillet, sauté bell peppers and onion until tender. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  4. Combine and Cook: Return beef to the skillet, add broth or water, cook until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
