Ingredients

Scale

Shrimp:

  • 1 pound extra large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning (divided)

Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 1/2 cups white wine
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed – about 1 lemon)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped flat leaf parsley
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Season the Shrimp: Season both sides of the shrimp with salt, pepper, and 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning.
  2. Cook Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook Garlic: Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Deglaze the Pan: Pour in white wine and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Finish the Sauce: Stir in butter and remaining Old Bay Seasoning until butter melts.
  6. Combine: Return shrimp to the skillet, stir to coat in sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve: Garnish with parsley and Parmesan. Serve hot.
