Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Base

  • ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup (20g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup (62g) all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 9-inch pie crust

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1 7-ounce jar marshmallow fluff
  • 1 cup (268g) peanut butter

Topping

  • 17 (100g) caramels, unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) milk
  • 1 cup (134g) peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons hot fudge sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Unroll the 9-inch pie crust and fit it into your pie plate, pressing gently to the edges. Set aside.
  2. Make Brownie Batter: In a large bowl, stir together the melted butter, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs until well combined. Then add the unsweetened cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth and fully incorporated.
  3. Bake Brownie Layer: Pour the brownie batter evenly over the prepared pie crust. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool completely before adding toppings.
  4. Prepare Peanut Butter Fluff Layer: In a large bowl, stir together the peanut butter and marshmallow fluff until smooth and creamy. You may use a hand mixer for easier blending. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled brownie layer.
  5. Melt Caramel and Add Peanuts: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the unwrapped caramels and milk. Microwave for about 1 ½ minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until fully melted and smooth. Stir in the peanuts and spread the caramel-peanut mixture evenly over the peanut butter fluff layer.
  6. Drizzle with Hot Fudge Sauce: Warm the hot fudge sauce in the microwave for 20-30 seconds until pourable. Transfer it to a Ziploc bag and cut a small tip off a corner. Drizzle the warm fudge sauce over the top of the pie to finish.

Notes

  • Allow the brownie layer to cool completely before adding the peanut butter and fluff layer to prevent melting or mixing.
  • Use creamy peanut butter for easier spreading and a smoother texture.
  • If you prefer, use homemade caramel sauce instead of store-bought caramels.
  • For an extra crunch, consider adding chopped Snickers bars on top along with the peanuts.
  • This pie can be refrigerated for up to 3 days. Slice and serve chilled or bring to room temperature before serving.
