			Cake:
- 2 1/2 cups cake flour, sifted

- 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
 
- 1 cup whole milk, room temperature
 
Strawberry Filling:
- 2 pounds fresh strawberries, divided
 
- 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
 
Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 10 ounces full-fat cream cheese, cold
 
- 1 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
 
- 1 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
 
- 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt

- Preheat oven to 350º F. Spray three 8-inch round cake pans with cooking spray and line the bottoms with parchment paper.
 
- Make the cake batter. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, oil, and vanillas. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk. Bake for 21-23 minutes.
 
- Make the strawberry filling. Slice half of the strawberries and mix with sugar to macerate.
 
- Make the frosting. Beat cream cheese, then add sugar, vanilla, and salt. Stream in heavy cream until smooth.
