  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 24 Wonton Wrappers
  • Cooking Spray (for muffin tin)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly mist 12 cups of a muffin tin with cooking spray to prevent sticking and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Add the chopped onion and taco seasoning; sauté until the onions soften and are translucent. Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies and water, combining all ingredients well. Allow the mixture to simmer briefly to meld flavors.
  3. Assemble the Wonton Taco Cups: Place one wonton wrapper into each of the prepared muffin cups, pressing gently to fit. Spoon about half of the meat mixture evenly into the cups. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the meat. Top each with another wonton wrapper, then repeat by layering the remaining meat mixture and cheese on top of the second wrapper.
  4. Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake the wonton taco cups for 12-14 minutes, or until the wontons are golden brown and crispy.
