For the Date Base:
For the Chocolate Layer:
- 12 oz. (340 g) chopped chocolate or chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil, optional
For the Peanut Butter and Topping:
- ¼ – ½ cup (64 – 128 g) natural peanut butter, well stirred
- ½ cup (60 g) chopped peanuts
- ½ teaspoon flaky salt, optional
- Prep: Line a small baking sheet or large plate with parchment paper. Remove pits from dates.
- Smash: Open dates, lay flat on parchment paper, cover with another sheet, press to flatten.
- Melt: Heat chocolate and coconut oil in microwave until melted.
- Layer: Spread peanut butter over dates, drizzle with chocolate, top with peanuts and salt.
- Chill: Refrigerate for 1 hour or freeze for 20-30 minutes, then cut into pieces.
